The Dobbs decision is current law, Alito's confirmation hearings are not.
LMAO!
So if Alito lied about Roe while being confirmed, why would he be telling the truth about the safety of other cases in his decision?
The Dobbs decision is current law, Alito's confirmation hearings are not.
I didn't say I didn't know how to quote a post but to link to a post but I did so later.
You keep denying you said it but here it is.
No, because all those decisions gave rights to people, none of them took rights away.
Step 1: Delay or cancel primaries (already happened)
Step 2: Oppose mail-in balloting by destroying the post office (already happening)
Step 3: Cancel the general election out of concerns for "safety"; concerns that could have been addressed, if not for Step #2.
With Universal Mail-In Voting (not Absentee Voting, which is good), 2020 will be the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history. It will be a great embarrassment to the USA. Delay the Election until people can properly, securely and safely vote???

You need a basic American government class. Because something is universal does not mean it is a federal issue. Abortion laws have varied widely--time period, method, patient age eligibility, exceptions, parental permission, penalties. .
Don't need to: Age requirements, medical requirements, reasons for divorce, spousal support, property division, common law.
It is a concurrent power exercised by both federal and state.
Medicare is for older citizens.
Most states have some healthcare programs for those under 65.
I shouldn't have to explain such basic stuff to you but you obviously never learned it and are too lazy to look it up.
No, because all those decisions gave rights to people, none of them took rights away.
And let's remember that Roe WASN'T established law since Alito contradicted his claims during his confirmation hearing that it was by reversing it.
I mean, you literally just said earlier that because of what Alito wrote, those other freedoms aren't under threat to be taken away by Alito.
My discussion had nothing to do with whether we could believe Alito but whether Dobbs said it only applied to abortion.
You claimed it did not because you had not read it and I posted the paragraph to prove what it said.
No, what I said was that Alito was lying when he said it wouldn't apply to other decisions, and that's a point you have been avoiding, I guess because you think Alito will only lie about abortion and nothing else.
That was my only point and you start talking about confirmation hearings, whether Alito tricked us, etc. to divert from the fact that you got it wrong because you had not read the decision when this discussion occurred.
You are saying whether something is established law is whether you like it or not.
Some of those things were established law longer than Roe.
The point was that the Supreme Court can change long-established law with one decision.
Because you were happy segregation and gay marriage were overturned does not mean they had not been established law, just that law changes.
It was established law until the court decided to change it, just like they changed segregation, gay marriage, interracial marriage, and many others.
Nope. I was teaching you what Dobbs said since you had not read it.
I don't know what will happen in the future and neither do you.
It's killing them that Biden's team successfully stole the term MAGA and turned it into the proper derogatory term that it is.How did it do that?
You people can't get any more outraged than you already are.
Maybe stop doing fascism.
Your right to parent your children as you think best, the right of schools and parents to decide what books are available to students, the right of schools and parents to decide what to teach and not have state legislatures dictate what cannot be discussed in the classroom, the right of freedom of the press from those who consider it an enemy of the people, the right of private social media sites to decide who can post and what can be posted without government interference, the right of private cruise lines to require a vaccination of passengers when they are traveling to a location that requires the shots before entering, the right of expert state employees to testify in legislative hearings even if their views conflict with political decisions.....
We both wasted our vote in 2016 by voting for a candidate who had no chance of winning in our state so we had no impact on the electoral vote.
f neither of us had voted or we had voted for a different candidate, the result would have been the same.
He was very clear the first time he made the comments, and simply reiterates it on a daily basis. Not really. You Reichwingers just got your feelz hurt by being labeled for what you are.
