Queen Elizabeth has Died

Fuck the queen. Fuck royalty. Long live democracy!

Royalty is pomp and circumstance and has nothing to do with democracy, for or against.

America has no appreciation for formality, or even class in general.
People go to weddings in golf attire today.
Everybody addresses total strangers by their first names.
Nobody bothers to learn grammatically correct English.

We're going to hell as a society and pretty much deserve just that.

True, the Queen was head of State and had no legal political power.

But she was such an outstanding apolitical woman, ... that as a mother to all Britains, she was able to wield the power of a "Mother over her adult children".

Formality is fine. Respect for office is fine.

But to have to kneel or bow to someone because of their luck of birth is anathema to equality.

The View's Sunny Hostin slams Queen for wearing crown with 'stones pillaged from India and Africa' while ex-Obama aide claims US is captivated by her death because they are obsessed with 'privilege' as woke attacks continue

A The View commentator and an ex-Obama aide have launched the latest woke attacked against the Queen in the aftermath of her death.

Americans are so captivated by the British Royal Family because they have a ‘weakness’ that yearns for a time of ‘hereditary privilege.’

You're so full of it. I'm interested in the royal family because of history, not because of privilege.

It's a "Blut und Boden" thing , Anchovies. Don't sweat it, dude. You guys in the States can't understand it because your republic is (1) too young (only 250 years old), and (2) Has turned into multiracial/Multicultural dog's breakfast since the 1960's.

Dachshund - the Wonder Hound

DLM....Dachshund Lives Matter !.

The British colonial period of Australia started in the late 1700s, Dachsieweenie. And so far you're still not a republic so you have no room to talk.

Your hatred of a woman you don't know and never will is bizarre.

Pretty sure that we do know, her father, her half sister, half brother and ex-husband reveal much about her. If you want to paint her as a innocent ingenue destroyed by the Royal Family then that's up to you, it's not the view held by many in the UK.

#10 has a lot of "personal" issues. I think he sees life through a glass, darkly....kinda like the Ingmar Bergman movie:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Through_a_Glass_Darkly_(film)
The film tells the story of a schizophrenic young woman (Andersson) vacationing with her family on a remote island, during which time she experiences delusions about meeting God, who ultimately appears to her in the form of a monstrous spider.

Now you know why I'm against monarchies and those who support it. LOL

You in the UK, as well as we in the US, know what the tabloids have printed about her and that's it. And if you don't think the father etc. have an axe to grind, that's on you. Her mother and friends are sticking by her. The bottom line is that she's Harry's wife, he picked her, he's happy with her and that's all that counts.

The UK tabloids have been on her case from the beginning. I suspect it's because she's mixed-race and American, not because of any legitimate issues. I wonder if the UK ever went after Camilla because of her 40 years of leading Chuck around by his junk.

With all respect for "Mummy", it's just another reason to abhor monarchies or any other system which puts some people above others as a birthright.

Have you noticed how all the Brit, Canadian and Aussie monarchists come to an American forum and attack democracy?

I can see that. Nobody has to bow, however, and modern monarchs extend a hand so as to not cause discomfort. The ones who don't certainly should.

The British tabloids were anything but 'on her case' in the beginning, that's total rubbish. In fact they went totally crazy over her. I have told this before, if you choose not to believe me then so be it. If you had lived in the UK you would have known that.

As for Camilla she received terrible headlines for many years, again you would have known that if you had lived over here.
