Queen Elizabeth II served her country for nearly 86 years, first as heir to the throne, and then as Queen for 70 years. She was not perfect, but I believe she did her best. Even as a child, she stayed in London during the Blitz, and later in the war served in the military. Her husband chose to serve in the British Navy, even though he was not British by birth, and most of his family sided with the Germans. Her husband risked his life for a country that was not even his, and went on to serve as Britain as consort to the Queen. He could not even keep his own name, or religion.

I am seeing a lot of base hatred in this forum for these people who had such a sense of duty... It is sad. I feel bad for those who have so much hatred for these people.

She was not perfectly not racist... But she was the product of her time.

She came out against Apartheid, when Thatcher was begging her not to.

So what? I will never understand why the British people put up with that royal garbage. They are a drain on the entire system. They all need to get fucking jobs.
