The judge's panned ruling in Trump's horde of documents case forbids the Justice Department from continuing to use the documents in its "investigation". Most observers think the special master ruling will delay the entire process for months, as would an appeal. So arrest the bastard now. It's not as if we need additional evidence. Trump can thank Judge Cannon for it as he's being escorted to the court house.

Nope, the DOJ now needs to either appeal or let the process play out. The DOJ and trump will never agree on who the "special master" is going to be.

This judge was in the tank for trump and he won this one.

I think the DOJ's next best move is to appeal the obvious stupid ruling.
 
There's no good reason the "process" can't be the indictment at this point. The FBI already knows what the documents are that it's not supposed to investigate, at least enough of them. The only reason to string this along would be insufficient evidence and the evidence is plentiful. There is, however, the sixty day hiatus the DOJ normally observes before an election so perhaps wait to arrest him until after the election. But do it then.
 
If the Justice Department doesn't charge him now or shortly after the election but let's itself be put through this useless wringer it suggests Garland may have decided it's too dangerous to charge him at all. That would be a mistake.
 
Hate to say, but Trump ain’t going to jail, and it is doubtful he’ll ever even see the inside of a Court room. Trump with his army of attorneys and accountants will postponed, delayed, and appealed any legal action beyond Trump’s life time, Cannon’s sophomoric decision proves it, one way or another, Trump will never face the reaper.

Trump knows this and acts, has always acted, accordingly, even playing the martyr as part of the schtick. Garland knows this, and the frustration involved, but it is the reality

Would be fabulous.

But would probably spark up the MAGA cult to vote in November. No way a conviction could be had before then. And that is the only thing that might get their attention. Although, I doubt even that would be accepted. They would probably attack the courthouse, target the judge and jury. They hate government and institutions.

Agree. At this point, Trump is making a fool of AG Garland.

Garland makes a fool of himself. His attack on Trump's residence backfired he should go back to charging moms that speak up at school board meetings.
As useless as McConnel is, he did a great service to this country by blocking Garland's nomination to the SC.

You won't know the reality until it occurs unless you give it no chance but one of occurring. Arrest him and take things from there.

Garland knows the reality, and probably figures at this point the risk isn’t worth the gamble, especially with the political ramifications involved

I like the "special master" thing. It will serve to make the MAGATs STFU about the latest "witch hunt," for one thing. Postponing his indictment and arrest till after the midterms will also serve to assure ppl that the investigation is not political but criminal. After all, if it were political wouldn't the DOJ want to make a move NOW to influence the voting in November?
