You can be sure that the AG has plenty of evidence at his disposal, that's why the espionage act is involved. Most likely they are attempting to learn just what he did with those docs and the people who saw them, received them, or bought them. Never in our history has a US President attempted espionage.

The Presidents are entitled to those documents they produced while in office dumb fuck. The President also has the capacity to declassify ANYTHING and everything he wants.
This Document HOAX will be exposed the same as the Mueller Russia collusion HOAX, the Ukraine HOAX and the January 6th inquisition HOAX. After a while, even the most uneducated dimwit would give up. Trump can only declassify documents AFTER a set of very specific procedures is followed.
He did NOT follow those procedures so he did steal those documents and he did break the law.
