I do not know about Gaetz or Moore. I thought they were more interested in teenage girls, not prepubescent. But, I'm sure we can find both Democrats and Republicans who fit that mold. So, I'm not sure what your point is. They started on Biden when video showed him with young girls. It was probably innocent but a little creepy--it was just an attempt to smear Biden (or any Democrat).
January 6 was an attack on the Capitol. Some have been charged with insurrection, but that is not treason. It would not have happened had Trump not convinced his supporters he won the election, but it is hard to tie that to a specific crime--you cannot prove he intended to cause the riot. It is just the law, not a defense of his actions.

Yes, I know that. But calling somebody a pedophile is not quibbling, it is a inaccurate slur. Call the person a rapist of underage teenage girls. Unnecessary false labels is just spreading hate. Would it make any difference to you if you were accused of having sex with a 17 year-old or a 12 year-old?
If you want to quibble, 16 is the age of consent in 32 states and 17 in 8 others. Many of those states have close-in-age exemptions.

I'm not a lawyer, either, but I understand what ages mean. I said nothing about who Trump had or didn't have sex with.

Excellent. How many RWNJs on JPP have you had this discussion with concerning "Pedo Joe"? I'm curious.
Very few--it is not a credible story--nothing to discuss. It is just charges because of some pictures which prove nothing and certainly could not be a source for investigation or prosecution (but a little creepy). I just laughed at those thinking the pictures were proof of anything.
Nothing really to discuss about Gaetz until the investigation is concluded. Moore was told to stay away from the mall and was defeated in the election never to be seen again.
All just trash talk. Not really politics but what much of it has deteriorated into.

Trash talk is always started by people who want to denigrate others--race, different political party/opinion, different sports team.....
There is nothing to do to counter it. I can tell them they are crazy and full of bull, but they will just make the same charges about me and it only increases the animosity.

What should people do when the trash talk turns into trash action such as attempting to overthrow the government and commit mass murder of elected leaders? March into a city screaming "Jews will not replace us"? Plot to blow up a Federal building to kill as many people as possible regardless of age?
Do the same thing when any crime is committed or planned--investigate and prosecute exactly as they are doing.

Because I'm curious why you are tacitly defending Trump's and the Pedo Party's ephebophilia by attacking those who claim Trump is a pedo without actually correcting them that he's an ephebophile and condemning that action.

Nope. You see everything in black and white. If I don't say Gaetz and Moore are bad for having sex with underage girls you conclude that I must condone it. I don't think it is necessary to condemn such actions when they are obviously wrong. But, I like evidence. I don't know that Gaetz, Moore, or Trump committed illegal sex acts.
Moore was not charged, Gaetz is still under investigation, and I don't know what Trump did.
You have not condemned Biden for being a pedo. Why? Because we have no evidence he did anything illegal and those videos and pictures are proof of nothing illegal.
The right attacks Biden for his imagined crimes and the left attacks Gaetz, Moore, and Trump for their imagined sex crimes. Both are just trying to smear the other with no evidence but they are convinced they must have done something because, after all, they are Democrats/Republicans.
You want me to join you to attack the Republicans by pretending I am defending them.
I will condemn Moore for twice failing to uphold his oath of office and being removed twice while Republicans support him but condemn an athlete who takes a knee. But, I know Moore was removed for these crimes. I don't know if he had sex with a minor.
I try not to make my decisions based on emotional partisanship. It is not defending somebody to believe they are innocent until proven guilty. I don't need to prove to you I am not a Trump supporter if it requires me to condemn a person for actions I have no proof they committed; just like Biden and China.

When something is clearly wrong, such as rich adult men raping underage males and females, yes, I do tend to see that in black and white since, like it or not, those are black letter law crimes. If you think there's gray in there, please let me know.
When it comes to idiots on JPP screaming names at each other, I look at it with a lot of gray in between due to the aforementioned reasons regarding mental illness, elderly dementia, venting, etc.
Ergo, your "see everything"" accusation is, in itself, a B&W view.
