This is the maximum students can get forgiveness for: "Biden’s plan offers $10,000 in student loan forgiveness to individuals making less than $125,000 per year and couples making less than $250,000. Borrowers who went to college on Pell Grants can receive up to $20,000 in debt forgiveness if they meet the same income thresholds."

You're complaining because some schmo gets up to $10K in forgiveness, yet Jared Kushner and family, for example, got $2.2 MILLION in loans, ALL forgiven.

Total cost of Biden's plan is estimated to be $469-$519 billion over ten years. Yet The PPP has loaned a total of $793 billion to small businesses as of July 4, 2022, (two years) forgiving $742 billion worth of those loans.

How can it cost anything when the loans have already been made and spent?

You fucking idiot...those student loans have already been issued. So forgiving them doesn't add anything to the debt.

In fact, it removes $400B from the debt by removing that debt obligation.

Just like how companies write off debt all the time.
