Boo hoo. You make it sound black and white and it's not. Why should students have to pay the price for predatory schools' illegal practices? The entire system needs to be changed. Education and healthcare are way too expensive in this country.

Wharton did a study on the Student loan forgiveness and it says the program will cost between 300 to 980 BILLION dollars. No one man should have the power to make that large of a financial decision. Nancy Pelosi say Biden can't make that kind of financial decision.

Some of those people who paid back their loans did it long before Biden came into office. And just because Biden forgave a certain percentage, doesn't mean those people WOULDN'T have honored their agreement, does it?

Students don't have to pay the price for predatory schools' illegal practices.

They don't have to sign a student loan contract...if they do they should have to pay it back in full.

I paid mine back and helped my three children pay theirs back.

Biden does not have the legal authority to transfer a trillion dollars in debt to anyone, taxpayers, banks etc. Only Congress can do spending bills.

This is grossly unfair and illegal for the president to transfer contract debt to anyone.
 
People prefer to share their misery than shield others from it--especially Americans.
I suspect we're among the very worst in that regard as solidarity was never our thing.
Perhaps the extent of our diversity precludes it.

I have no idea why a superior species like the dog would like us so much.

It is black and white. Take out a loan and pay it back. Period. You are teaching kids they can walk away from their debt.
My taxes sent your kids through 13 years of public school. You want them to go further? They can pay back what they borrow.

Everything is too expensive! Gas, food, heating and cooling bills, pretty much everything is too expensive.
