None of the documents were "declassified". That was a lie. Show us your "evidence" other than the one guy who lied on Fox that any of the docs had been declassified. Before you answer, twump had his security clearance revoked the moment Biden was inaugurated. Biden made sure of it. Worse yet are the floated non-committal explanations. The FBI planted the papers, AND trump declassified them before he left office. Why would he declassify documents that the FBI later planted in his home? How did he know ahead of time that they would plant them?

trump could keep his mouth shut, as a potential defendant in a criminal case... No explanation would be needed... BUT, that means he really cannot run for office after that. To run for office, he needs a good explanation, and he needs it two weeks ago.

The classification status doesn't matter since any document containing national defense information that could be harmful to the US and not returning to the rightful owner when asked would be a violation of the law.

Incorrect it is the prosecutions job to prove guilt at the trial. It is the investigators' job to find evidence a crime has been committed and by who. A grand jury then views the evidence and either indicts or not.
