The alt right is very much an aggrievement movement. Happy people do not call for "burning everything down." They sad part is they are the most dependent on our society. If their Social Security checks stop coming, they will starve.

I found it funny when Giuliani said there had been no terrorist attacks when Bush was President. The SNL response was that they knew sooner or later we would forget about 9/11, but we did not think Giuliani would be the first to forget.

For the exact same reason Nimrata Haley and Piyush Jindal ditched their family's Hindu religion to convert to Christianity, and ditched their given first names to go by the bland Anglo-Saxon names Nikki and Bobby.

Because the GOP is a Christian nationalist party, which tends to not roll out the welcome carpet for anyone associated with immigrants or exotic foreign motifs.
