The mental health issue isn't necessarily only Right Wing. It's real, and it's been discussed by the Left for decades.

The Right never cared about it, as evidenced by Reagan emptying the mental institutions.

Whereas increased funding for mental health is necessary, and always slashed by the Right...they use in now as a talking point ONLY in the gun discussion.

If one state has lax gun purchase laws, then the entire nation is flooded with illegal guns. As such, the Right will always try to change to topic to one of mental health. Only.
