"On the eve of my wedding, my father showed up, determined to stop it. I had tons of pills, and Dad had tons of everything too. Eventually I passed out on Dad's bed," she writes. Phillips was 19 at the time.

"My father was not a man with boundaries. He was full of love, and he was sick with drugs. I woke up that night from a blackout to find myself having sex with my own father," she continues.

"Had this happened before? I didn't know. All I can say is it was the first time I was aware of it. For a moment I was in my body, in that horrible truth, and then I slid back into a blackout," Phillips adds.

Their relationship developed consensually and her father even asked her to run away with him.

"One night Dad said, 'We could just run away to a country where no one would look down on us. There are countries where this is an accepted practice. Maybe Fiji.'"

Who has excused incest??? Even one of the participants claimed she was going to hell. So who exactly is excusing the incest?

Let him go, he needs to occasional opportunity to get up on his high horse and look down at others.

No one has excused incest, but he can't make his blanket moral judgements without first jumping to the conclusions he does.

On the ladder scale of morality, I see these incestuous types as the bottom rung with pedophiles and just below homosexuals, who share the rung with liberals in general. Folks who attack innocents, especially my family, sit on the laps of the pedophiles.

Your entire rant is based on the premise that "hollywood types" are excusing incest. Where they rank on your own personal scale is of no consequence.

It's quite conceivable that no one knew of the relationship until McKenzie decided to spill the beans.

It doesn't take money or drugs to keep this sort heinous activity a secret. It takes only a domineering power figure and a victim too ashamed totell anyone.
