Thinking back, I'm almost certain Biden voters in 2020 weren't promised that just 20 or so months after their glorious leader was inaugurated as President of the United States their: economy; individual freedom; prosperity; personal safety; America's global reputation for strong and decisive leadership, would be headed fast up "Shit's Creek" in a bark canoe. No.... they definately weren't promised this.
The media cabal that conspired to install the lying, corrupt, "cognitively castrated", ( yet still equipped with the cunning instincts of a proverbial, shit-house rat), REPROBATE, who is the current occupant of the White House, promised Democrat voters much, much more. According to them, the Trump administration had damaged America beyond all measure, and only a man of Joseph Robinette Biden's sterling credentials
and government experience could hope to set America back on the right path. Only Joe Biden, they declared, could correct the horrible electoral miscarriage that was Donald J. Trump !
I guess I can't blame the Democrat - voting public (even the White ones with a respectable IQ and no active psychotic/delusional/substance use disorders, etc) for thinking, "Things can only get better now.", after bad actors deposed President Trump, and a basement - dwelling - Joe ascended to the Oval Office. After all, the abuse the Democrat faithful endured during the Trump Presidency was literally relentless: every hoax imaginable about Russia; every night a lying, conspiratorial, gaslighting grift of "evidence will follow;" impeachment farces, and all manner of character assassination (including audio-tape evidence that in his younger days, President Trump had been a wanton and profigate "PUSSY GRABBER", though expressed not an atom of shame, regret or repentence for his former moral terpitude !). It's eminently understandable ,given all of this, that by January of 2020, everyone was worn out by the interminable barrage of bad news, while the narrative the crooked, corporate MSM crafted, ignored or falsified any ray of hope.

Instead, it's clear that from his first day in office, he and the Democrat Party have been beholden to a rogue mob of bug-eyed zealots. The later are a group of radical, revolutionary, modern-day American Marxists. Within the Congressional Democratic Party they identify as "progressives"; this term, however, is merely a rhetorical "fig - leaf" used to cover the raw ugliness of their actual political beliefs. Some of the ring-leaders of this progressive faction are individuals like: Bernie Sanders, Senator from Vermont (a curmudgeonly, old orthodox Marxist); Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a 29 - year - old, Latina House Rep ( for New York City's 14th District) who is a former barmaid come modern-day radical socialist and "Twitter Princess;" Pete Buttigeig, current Transport Secretary and married homosexual; Elizabeth "Pocahontas" Warren a Woke Red Indian with a an uncommonly pallid complexion
