back in the late 70s and early 80s, that bubble wasn't false, especially in a town of 3,000 people. we all knew each other. all grew up together.........that was reality and not some delusional fantasy contrived by liberals.

Because I have while in the service and it changes a person. I am sickened by the idea of shooting some guy for simply stealing a car. You have to realize that someone doesn't just fucking steal a car unless they're desperate. You think you're a big bad tough guy for shooting him, but he's probably just some guy down on his luck trying to crawl out of a hole. You really ought to be ashamed, but something tells me you're a sociopath and shame is beyond your skillset.

listen up, sock, i've also served. Do I LIKE the idea of killing someone over my car? no. but my car is my life. without it, lots of family things fail. I'm not willing to deal with that. So, yes, sometimes people gotta die. your attempt to 'shame' me is useless because I can grasp reality, whereas you apparently have PTSD and cannot.

I know that. They will charge you with murder and you will accept a manslaughter plea and do 5 years. Happens all the time.

But if you're doing 100 mph on the freeway while playing on a phone and kill someone, you'll pay a fine and that's it.

You are an idiot. Teenagers steal cars all the time just for the hell of it, you moron. Then they drive it at 100 mph and crash into someone and take off, and the owner is blamed for the deaths and goes to prison. Someone stealing your car can destroy your whole life and you can't allow that . This shooter did the right thing shooting the thug though he was wrong to leave the car running.
