No, because I have always had the right to walk away. I have never been arrested. Law enforcement is allowed to question you, without reading you your rights, if they do not arrest you.

I doubt I have ever been a suspect. Usually, I am a witness more than anything else.

That is probably the best advice to follow, if he is guilty of a felony. I have not been, so I have every reason to stay on good terms with law enforcement, and regulators. They can pull all sorts of permissions I have.
