Should be more fun if they find nothing there is no indictment.

That could well be the end result. What the country shouldn't tolerate, however, is this knee jerk hatred for the FBI, though it's almost what we've come to expect when there is any possible threat to Trump.

Actually, it is knee jerk hatred for Trump who was attacked starting the first day he announced his run. He was an outsider and not part of the sewer that is DC. For that fact alone he must pay. It is the moronic alt lefties that listen to the likes of 80 year old politicians and the ratings hungry media that refused to see the benefit of a non swamp member in the WH.

Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and other notable Republicans are promising retribution for the raid at Mar-A-Lago yesterday. They have no information yet on the reasons presented to the federal judge who authorized the FBI to occupy and search the premises, nor are they conditioning their threats on the absence of lawful reasons. Trump, according to them, is untouchable.

The Presidential Records Act? At the most you send a subpoena, the President has plenary power to declassify anything he wants, Clinton didn't and she mishandled 30,000 classified documents and she never got raided, at most you send a subpoena, this was a purely political move from an outlaw unelected illegitimate authoritarian regime and the FBI is now no different than the Stasi or the Gestapo, it needs to be dissolved and the DOJ needs to be scrapped and rebuilt from the ground up, everyone there now needs to be fired, no protection or tenure for career bureaucrats they are a cancer on the body polotic that needs to be cut out.

Don't pretend this outrage against the FBI is hatred for Trump. Yes, Trump was attacked as an unqualified big mouth, seeking attention for himself, which he was and is. That is separate from calls to disband the FBI for trying to recover the return of classified documents Trump has been holding back for a year and a half.

Not merely The Presidential Record Act. Classified documents. We know the dead seriousness Republicans have for security classifications. Carelessness with them is almost treason. Just ask the House members who grilled Hillary Clinton through multiple investigations. Trump seems to have actually taken classified documents to his residence and kept them there despite repeated demands for their return. By the way, he's not the President any longer.

Check out the law, teh documents do not even have to be classified for taking them to be a crime.

It wasn't a Federal Judge it was a partisan federal magistrate that has a history of Anti Trump tweets and political contributions to Obama.

This stunt is destined to blow up in the Democrats faces. The raid was ostensibly to find classified Presidential records. Trump had previously given the archivist full access to those records. They recommend they be placed under lock. Trump added a lock to where they were stored the FBI broke that lock during the raid and took the 14 boxes of records in question. I think we can agree that this raid was looking for things other than what was ostensibly the objective of the raid. The warrant was likely written so broadly that it allowed them to grab any record they found. That is really not lawful. But hey I'm willy to bet you "law abiding" Libratards think that is OK. This is going to backfire bigly on the Democrats. Have fun now this has just made Trump more determined and has increased his donations for his 2024 campaign. And no they won't find any wrongdoing. Trump will come out of this stronger than before and Wray and Graland and Biden will look very bad. Think about it the Biden administration has just used the government to attack its primary political opponent for 2024. That is some banana republic stuff right there. In America we are supposed to let the people decide who is going to govern us.

If it's "destined to blow up in the Democrats faces," why are Republicans pulling their hair out? As for that recounting of "facts", sounds like it came from Tucker Carlson. The real facts will be out soon enough. I'll believe Merrick Garland approved a "really not lawful" action against a former President when I see it.

"Every president has violated the Presidential Records Act in some way, such as by using personal phones for texts or emails, for example, presidential historian Robert David Johnson said." Trump has been cooperating with the Archivist on this matter. He already allowed them full access to these records. I doubt this is really about these record. More likely this was a ruse to (illegally) gain access to Trump's home to see if they could find something on 1/6. It's really a indication of how ineffective the 1/6 investigation has been. They are getting desperate. This is just another "Mueller investigation". It is destined to end the same way. No evidence of wrong doing.
