How the hell did Republicans vote in Margorie Taylor Gazpacho, Lauren Boobert, Matt Gaetz, Madison Cawthorne, Jim Jordan, Paul Gosar....The list goes on. I can't feel good about voting for anyone with an (R) after their name until those kooks are purged from Congress.

We went to Afghanistan almost 20 years ago with clear goals: get those who attacked us on September 11th, 2001, and make sure al Qaeda could not use Afghanistan as a base from which to attack us again.

We did that. We severely degraded al Qaeda in Afghanistan. We never gave up the hunt for Osama bin Laden, and we got him. That was a decade ago.

Biden did not say Al Qaeda was no more, just that they were "severely degraded". I think it is fair to say they are severely degraded. They can no longer have open training bases, or do anything openly in Afghanistan. They must hide from American strikes, and if they do not hide well enough, Biden will kill them.

Bush, Obama, and now Biden have all severely degraded Al Qaeda. There is a name missing from that. trump got the promise that if he surrendered to the Taliban, and released thousands of their fighters, they would not support Al Qaeda anymore. And yet they let al Zawahiri live in one of their appartments?
