GOP removes insulin price cap

Seven Republicans voted with Democrats to keep the insulin cap in the bill, but that was not enough to overcome the 60-vote threshold.
The Republicans argued that the provision violated the rules of reconciliation after the Senate parliamentarian ruled that it is not primarily related to the federal budget.
Between the lines: Even though the $35 cap for the private insurers has been stripped from the package, Democrats are hoping to preserve the $35 insulin cap for patients on Medicare

Dems wanted to vote against all amendments. Sanders knew this.

It stayed with Medicare, which represents the bulk of use, but it's unconscionable that Republicans voted to drop it. The party no longer has a soul or a moral compass. They simply vote against anything and everything the Dems propose.

When this bill is passed without Republican votes

How long will it take republicans to tout the passage to their voters?

My older sister will have to continue to pay $300 per month for her insulin.

I'm sure she's happy about that.

Medicare still gets the 35 cap all over the nation

Like 30% of people on Medicare are diabetic
