Women Having To Flee States With Insane Restrictions on Abortions

Yeah...and the life of an oak starts with acorn. But a squirrel eating an acorn is NOT eating an oak tree. So shove that bumper sticker where it won't get too much sunlight and fade.

but after an acorn has germinated and started sprouting, that squirrel is eating an individual living oak specimen.

dont enviros want to protect all phases of the lifecycle for endangered species, nesting areas, food sources etcetera? yes they do.

you people should care about humans more.

but you don't because you're genocidal maniacs.

Even a fucking asshole like you should realize that those of us on this side of this issue ae not genocidal maniacs. But your life is so fucked up, you want to pretend that you are a hero, fighting for the lives of what you call "unborn babies."

You are full of shit. You are actually saying that you want to control what a woman can do with her own body.

Anyway...continue with the pretense. We're having fun here...and I love the fast balls you fire right in the middle of the strike zone. I'll keep hitting 'em out of the park.

We've got plenty of balls.

Or at least, some of us have.

Again, just not quite the same...You and your "comparisons"...That's two strikes today...;)

Outlawing abortions in many states will make an already horrible maternal mortality rate much worse. Women will die. There is no getting around that.

The only defense I can think of is that fetuses will be saved. I really do not see a blob as cells to be more important than a living human being, but if you do, there is some defense of killing these women.

That being said, stop lying and saying this is not going to kill women. Women will die from this.

The #1 reason why women seek abortions is financial. If you are too poor to raise a(nother) child, how can you afford to take off work, travel to another state, purchase lodging, pay for the procedure, and go back home again? If you are not white, what are the chances that your baby will be adopted if you are forced to give birth?

Exactly it. Asshat pretends to be all about freedom, but in the final analysis he is nothing more than a fascist forced-birther.

Less than 1% of all abortions are late term...and only a small percentage of them involve "head crushing." And most of them are performed to save the life of the woman...who definitely is a person.

You, on the other hand, are a fucking ignorant fool who posts things because you have a keyboard at hand.

Late term abortions are 1) only done if the mother's life is in danger, or 2) the fetus has already died in utero or will shortly after birth, and 3) are nearly always done by either inducing birth via pharmaceuticals if the mother can withstand birth, or 4) via C-section. The "head-crushing" thing is just hyperbole bullshit made up by forced-birthers and believed by the ignorant.

I am not anti abortion but I do support the constitution and abortion is covered by states rights if a state wants to allow or ban abortion you have no say in the matter. If a woman wants an abortion nothing stops her from going to a nearby state, and don't give me the lefty the poor will suffer bus fare is relatively inexpensive. In fact less than $50 in most cases.

$50 plus time off of work, and paying for child care if she already has children. That is a lot of money when you are just scraping by. Organizations are springing up to help low-income women with the expenses of going to another state for the procedure, which is not covered by insurance in many cases. Please consider donating to one. Thanks.

Hello BartenderElite,

Well if we want America to have a chance for more responsible government then abortion IS the #1 issue.

Recent poll results aired on PBS Newshour: Number one motivator for Republican voters, no big surprise, the economy. Number one motivator for Democratic voters, no, not the economy. Abortion rights.

The hard right SCOTUS decision has reshuffled the deck for November.

The economy added over half a million jobs last month, dropping the unemployment rate to 3.5%. Do you think that the (R) voters will hear about that on Fox?

Again, just not quite the same...You and your "comparisons"...That's two strikes today...;)

Nothing wrong with the examples I gave. Because you were not able to see the connection does not negate them in any way.

Hello Poor Richard Saunders,

A trip to Kansas City would be useless in seeking an abortion because abortion is illegal in Missouri.

"Abortion is banned in Missouri except in medical emergencies under a law that was triggered after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June.

The deadline to get an abortion-related petition approved before the November election passed in May. But some supporters of abortion rights are looking at Kansas as a guide to get abortion on the ballot in a future election.

“I hope that there are people building a coalition and working on that now,” said state Sen. Lauren Arthur, a Kansas City Democrat. “That was one of my first thoughts, let’s put it on the ballot. I know that our current law is unpopular. I know that a majority of Missourians support some access to abortion rights.” "

Missouri Democrats are hopeful that Kansas vote offers a guide to restoring abortion rights

He said the state of Kansas, not KC Missouri. :)

Missouri also wants to criminalize abortion, arresting and charging Missouri residents who go to another state to have the procedure.

As you know I am only arguing for the constitution. I do not dispute that many women wanting abortions in banned states will have considerable trouble getting abortions but as we progress orgs like planned parenthood will provide assistance.

Hello ThatOwlWoman,

It is not a recession. It is a period of war and pandemic caused inflation. And wages are not keeping pace with consumer prices. If we want to support workers, we are going to have to support Democrats.

There would be no overtime pay without Democrats. No 40 hour week. And no Social Security.

We'll just have to agree to disagree..again... (Acorns, though? Appendectomies? Really? Come on, Frank;):)

life beginning at conception is science. biology to be precise.

Fertilization is a complex multi-step process that is complete in 24 hours. The sperm from a male meets an ovum from a female and forms a zygote; this is the point in which pregnancy begins and leads to a 280-day journey for a female. There are two ways to track this process, and they differ by the day counting begins.

Actually it is not a pregnancy until implantation occurs. Nature often "flushes" a zygote for various reasons -- it is defective, the internal environment is wrong, maternal health issues like malnutrition, etc. Occasionally the zygote fails to leave the Fallopian tube and begins to divide without being implanted (ectopic pregnancy). This is a medical emergency that will kill the woman if not surgically removed. Even rarer, the developing embryo sometimes wanders completely away from the reproductive tract and implants elsewhere. This is also life-threatening.

But you fascist forced-birthers want to prevent treatment of these life-threatening occurrences because a fetus matters more to you than an already-living human. If preserving life -- especially that of children -- was really that important, you forced-birthers would be clamoring to ban the weapons that mow them down in their classrooms. The fact that you don't tells us where your principles really are -- in removing other citizens' rights to determine their own destinies.

but it is an individual life.

we're talking about when life begins, not when pregnancy begins.

nice attempt at a retarded word game, retard.

:tardthoughts:

Thank you for giving the sad forced-birther some much-needed attention. You're very kind. I will make another donation to PP in her name. Her pompous self-righteous scolding about abortion has gained them quite a bit of money over the 12 years it's been my misfortune to be followed by that dumb bimbo.

Not if they are defunded like the (R)s want to do. It is a sad day for America when a citizen cannot receive needed medical care because we've let religious zealots, busybodies, and freedom-haters control what we can and cannot do with our own bodies.
