WASHINGTON — Senator Kyrsten Sinema, Democrat of Arizona, announced on Thursday evening that she would support moving forward with her party’s climate, tax and health care package, clearing the way for a major piece of President Biden’s domestic agenda to move through the Senate in the coming days.

To win Ms. Sinema’s support, Democratic leaders agreed to drop a $14 billion tax increase on some wealthy hedge fund managers and private equity executives that she had opposed, change the structure of a 15 percent minimum tax on corporations, and include drought money to benefit Arizona.

You hate America.

It is you that's cheering America's destruction on. This bill is entirely borrowed / printed / fiat money. Most of it is being spent on things we KNOW don't work. The stuff in it has been tried before. Slapping a mandatory 15% minimum tax on corporations, in whatever form it is passed in, will cause them to leave, not pony up to the government. It will make the US one of the heaviest taxers of corporations in the world too. Do you really think that will benefit the nation?

You are blinded by your politics over looking at things rationally and realistically.

It's absolutely true. The so-called Inflation Reduction Act hurts the economy and contributes to inflation.

It will contribute to inflation, lower GDP, cause job loss, and the massive greentard stuff in it won't work any better than it has in dozens of other countries, like Germany and Sri Lanka. It's a disaster and you, BidenPresident, are cheering that on.

Here's a sample of the lying bullshit put out about this bill.

The IRA includes $369 billion for "Energy Security and Climate Change," and according to a report by the non-profit group Rewiring America, the tax incentives would save the average American household $1,800 per year on energy bills.

The non-profit explained how the proposed bill would help families save on their energy bills if they switch to electric appliances in their houses.

"The IRA contains key measures that will help households electrify their vehicles and heating systems and convert to renewable energy, including both tax credits and direct rebates that offset these technologies’ up-front costs," Rewiring American said.

"If a household installs a modern electric heat pump to replace their furnace, a heat pump for water heating, and converts to an electric vehicle and rooftop solar, they will save $1,800 per year on energy bills."

The lie here is that installing all that stuff on a home isn't free. I won't magically appear. Converting an older home from a furnace to a heat pump, installing a second for water heating, buying an electric vehicle, and installing rooftop solar will set you back well over $100,000 even after the 30% tax credits offered in this bill. That means you are looking at a payback on that tab you just spent up front of around 50 years. Or in other terms, since none of that stuff will last 50 years you are going to lose money big time on doing that stupid shit.
