What was looking like a Republican rout in the coming midterms is now a tossup.

The House is still looking bad, but now that Trump has promoted Dr. Oz, and Hershel Walker, two likely winners for the Pubs are now sure losers.

I am sure there are other whackos Trump promoted that will lose also.

If the Pubs lose the Senate, they will have Trump and his merry band of whackos to blame.

Trump is the only president to lose both the house and the senate in one term since I think Eisenhower.

I hear trumps going to endorse Son of Sam in the Florida Senate primary!

Lets recap the GOP's stand on a few key issues...

The GOP refuses to let women have the freedom to decide for themselves...

...thus causing MILLIONS of women voters who might have voted otherwise, to change their political affiliation from REPUBLICAN to DEMOCRAT.

The GOP HATES our fighting men and women and BLOCKED a bill that would increase veteran access to healthcare...

...thus causing MILLIONS of veterans, who might have voted otherwise, to change their political affiliation from REPUBLICAN to DEMOCRAT.

The GOP openly embraces and endorses WHITE NATIONALIST candidates...

...thus causing MILLIONS of minority voters, who might have voted otherwise, to change their political affiliation from REPUBLICAN to DEMOCRAT.

And they nominate for Senate (at Trumps urging) an silly television personality who brags about living in New Jersey for Senate in Pennsylvania, and a man from Texas who admits to having multiple violent personalities for Senate in Georgia.

Additionally they have nominated kooks all over the place for House and Governorships.

If I did not know better I would think Trump is trying to weaken the Republican party.

When the newscasters on PBS Newshour presented the news that conspiracy theorist election-deniers had won Republican primaries, their smiles were difficult to hide.

Judy Woodruff did a good job, but the others had a tough time keep a straight face.

It is no big surprise that election-deniers could win a Republican primary, but it is highly unclear if independents will support such nonsense.

Good luck to all who are running on The Big Lie.

Let's hope Democrats have some strong common-sense opponents in the general.

This election-denial, living-in-the-past BS only excites a limited crowd.

And the crowd size is dwindling.

Some of them have died of COVID, others are being arrested, tried and put in prison over January 6th.

And the rest are being forced to carry on with a hopeless dying lie.

Democrats actually are now slightly favored.

Race tilted GOP's way in the odds until mid July when it about evened up. Democrats edged ahead a point of two and now, as of this morning, following Kansas, it's 58/42. I suspect the abortion issue might have as much impact
on the race as disaffection with Trump.
