Naomi Judd leaves Wynonna and Ashley out of her will.

I’m not sure why anybody should give a shit about what happens to her estate.

A subject not even on my radar screen.

Naomi Judd left her two daughters, Wynonna Judd and Ashley Judd, out of her will, Page Six reports.

The country singer, who died by suicide on April 30, appointed her husband Larry Strickland as the executor of her estate, per the report.

Naomi Judd, per documents, requested the 76-year-old Strickland have “full authority and discretion” over any property that is an asset to her estate “without the approval of any court” or permission from any beneficiary of the estate.

RadarOnline.com reports a source said Wynonna, 58, is “upset” that she was excluded because she “believes she was a major force behind her mother’s success” and the duo, The Judds. The outlet also reports the will and estate to be worth $25 million dollars.

According to Page Six, Strickland should be entitled to receive “reasonable compensation” for his services, and that he would be paid or reimbursed for all “reasonable expenses, advances and disbursements, including attorney’s and accountant’s fees, made or incurred in the administration of my estate.”

In May, Ashley Judd told “Good Morning America” her mother died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

“She used a weapon … a firearm,” Ashley Judd said. “So that’s the piece of information we’re very uncomfortable sharing, but understand that we’re in a position, that if we don’t say it, someone else is going to.”

Ashley Judd revealed she found her mother’s body, adding, “I went upstairs to let her know that her good friend was there and I discovered her. I have both grief and trauma from discovering her.”

Oh well. I'm sorry it happened but it's difficult to feel sorry for multi millionaires whining that they were left out of another multi millionaires will.

People generally leave money to the spouse first, as they will need it as they grow older. Kids should never be named over spouses unless it is certain life insurance policies set aside for them.

I get it but we are talking about millionaires, everyone of them.

I think it has more to do with pain that their mother didn't mention them in the will. Just my opinion, I know I would have been really hurt if my mom had ignored me in her will. But then we don't know how close they were in the latter years of her life.

I get it but they can soothe themselves with another Mercedes. If it goes so far as the courts to sort out it's not about the pain it's about the money. Money destroys families. My brothers second wife stopped talking to her twin sister over their parents wills. Ugly.

This is a poorly written tabloid piece, but for the sake of argument, I will assume the facts are correct. Even there, the "narrative" is unsupported by the facts.

Naomi Judd left her two daughters, Wynonna Judd and Ashley Judd, out of her will, Page Six reports. The country singer, who died by suicide on April 30, appointed her husband Larry Strickland as the executor of her estate, per the report.

In our society, it is normal to leave money to a spouse, before adult children. It is so normal, that it is just assumed as the way it will go. I know the "narrative" is that this is unusual, but the facts are that normally the funds are intermixed so much that it would be impossible to leave the money to the children.

But, that does not seem to be the case here... Yes, the "narrative" is she left the money to her husband, but hidden in the story is:

According to Page Six, Strickland should be entitled to receive “reasonable compensation” for his services, and that he would be paid or reimbursed for all “reasonable expenses, advances and disbursements, including attorney’s and accountant’s fees, made or incurred in the administration of my estate.”

It certainly sounds like the money is going to something else, but the husband might get a bit of reasonable compensation for administering the dispersement.

In theory, she got half of the money from The Judds, for her half of the contribution to The Judds, why would she deserve more?

This is why I avoid partnering with certain types of people. I have no idea what the truth is about Wynonna Judd, but there are plenty of people who expect their share multiple times. You setup a partnership with them, both parties get half the profits, they gamble their profits away, and then come to you asking why you have everything and they have nothing. The profits get redivided, they lose everything again, and then come back to you again.

In May, Ashley Judd told “Good Morning America” her mother died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. “She used a weapon … a firearm,” Ashley Judd said. “So that’s the piece of information we’re very uncomfortable sharing, but understand that we’re in a position, that if we don’t say it, someone else is going to.” Ashley Judd revealed she found her mother’s body, adding, “I went upstairs to let her know that her good friend was there and I discovered her. In most parts of the world, a mentally unstable person having a gun would be the huge scandal, not someone not willing money to adult children while their spouse is alive.

I also bring from this she was in regular contact with her children, and friends, right before her death. She had support, even though she probably did not realize it. It is a tragedy of mental health failure, and lack of gun control.

"Taken care of"?

They are not paupers - they are millionaires who want for nothing.

There was a time that land was passed down generation, after generation, with each generation holding it in trust for the next. Back then it was important to take care of the next generation.

These days, you take care of your children by making sure they get a good education, and can earn their own money. Anything they inherit is a nice extra, but should not be essential to their survival. Even if her children were destitute, she is not responsible to take care of them in her will. It is worse for them, because they would have to starve until their parents die.

People generally leave money to the spouse first, as they will need it as they grow older. Kids should never be named over spouses unless it is certain life insurance policies set aside for them.

That is definitely the norm for our society. It would be bizarre to give significant money to adult children while a spouse is still living.

That isn't the point. Naomi was suffering from mental issues. How do we know her husband/executor didn't use her issues to get her to name him and leave the girls out?

The standard is for a spouse to inherit everything. When the spouse dies then it goes to the kids. If she had given it all to the kids and nothing for her spouse then this might be worth a story.

Great signature. Too bad so much bad is pardoned in this country these days.

You find out who people really are when it comes down to a dollar.

I was reading that mom for a very long time liked Ashley best, and that her sister has harbored resentment....that would explain everything.

No, it wouldn't, dumbass. The husband is in charge and everybody has enough money. No harm, no foul.
