To put it mere specifically, so-called national joke Josh Hawley is the only so-called senator to vote against Finland and Sweden Joining NATO:

Just wanted to agree that Hawley is indeed a "hypocritical, detestable piece of work." Not sure how that piece of garbage managed to defeat Claire McCaskill, a competent, intelligent, articulate two term Senator, other than because Missouri is a red state.

Too bad for the people of Missouri...and too bad for the people of America.

Why would we want two more free riders who have been reaping the benefits of neutrality and the Pax Americana to join NATO now that they feel threatened by Russia? Te you what they pay more than 6 decades of past dues and they can join?
 
NATO should have died 25 years ago but it will likely die soon.....Europe is fucked and China is our enemy....it will be China that does us in.

For tiny countries, Sweden and Finland spend a lot of resources on defense. They are hardly freeloaders.
