We are going to lose either way now, either she does not go signalling that America is impotent and that Taiwan cant count on us, or she does go and China levels a charge, a penalty, as yet undefined but they will.

Redstate is reporting that this was caused by a leak at the White House, they did this on purpose.

China has done well for itself by knowing how to avoid war.
 
It's not about Pelosi. It's about sending a message to China that we will not be intimidated nor will we allow China to intimidate our allies and our trading partners. China needs to know they will face the same treatment as Russia and they will be economically isolated if they threaten Taiwan

so China - the worlds monstrous hegemonic power
gets to tell us who we can have diplomatic relations with ( and arms also with Taiwan) and if we dont they threaten us?

Why not just bend over now and ask for another?? China isnt our boss quite yet
 
America fighting the Chinese over Taiwan would be hugely idiotic but as Iraq and at least 100 other things we have done over the last two decades prove we are certainly up to it. If we do I expect that one of the first things China does, in the first 48 hours, is to sink 2-3 aircraft carriers killing likely at least ten thousand of our boys and girls.

We shall see how much fight is in us after that.

i think 5x is about correct, their army is way larger, they are getting aircraft carriers, they have hypersonic missiles .. and they are on a tear of building their NAvy
