Those that said the Ukrainians would not fight were completely wrong, and they had a much better argument. Taiwan was only joined with Mainland China for a few years, 70+ years ago. They have been practicing and investing into fighting for 70+ years.
Basically anything is possible, but you are probably wrong.
Watching Ukraine get rubbleized will reinforce the idiocy of resisting that which they dont have the power to change. Taiwan will be folded back into China, the only question is how much damage is done to the islands in the process. Neither the CCP nor the people of Taiwan have any desire to see Taiwan turned into rubble, so this outcome will almost certainly be avoided.
They ability to innovate on the ground appears to be more important than unwavering commitment to command. The Russians were what you consider tough, and the Ukrainians were better ad hoc tacticians, and see how that turned out.
What worries me about the Chinese is they have developed quite the culture for being entrepreneurial, which might translate into better military units... Someday, but probably not today.
