What’s behind the heatwaves impacting the United States?
Millions of Americans are under heat warnings as the nation braces for record-breaking temperatures and dangerous heat.

Climate change caused by the burning of fossil fuels is a global phenomenon that is certainly playing a role in what the US is experiencing, scientists say

Virtually all of the United States has experienced above-normal temperatures in the past week. More dangerously hot weather is in the forecast this week.

More than 85 million Americans are under excessive heat warnings or heat advisories issued by the National Weather Service. Excessive heat, severe storms and flooding are all expected this week.

What's behind the heatwaves ? Fossil fuel burning, obviously- but also the LIES planned by corporations to nurture Climate Denial;

You appear to have delusions of expertise.

Hehasneverlearned! has delusions of knowing anything. Weather doesn't change climate unless you mean, "Gee, it's hot today". Climate changes weather. Natural forces like solar and volcanic energy affect climate but the science says human forces since the onset of the Industrial Revolution have been the primary ones. The fact that both natural and human made forces have impacted climate, and more political capital being in one than the other, is why the debate over them is ongoing.

Just an example of humans affecting the weather- to contradict your claim.

Incidentally, anybody denying anthropogenic global warming at this point in time really is a candidate for the rubber room.

The unusual part of all this is we are seeing a heat wave in North America, Europe, and Asia at the same time. It is not unusual for there to be a heat wave in one place, but this is a heat wave everywhere.

The Oak Fire Near Yosemite Is One of California's Most Unpredictable Blazes Yet

A fast-moving wildfire in near Yosemite National Park in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains has engulfed nearly 19,000 acres. It was sparked July 22, and in just three days, it charred more than 18,000 acres.

Cal Fire officials warned that the unpredictable behavior of the blaze is “really unprecedented.” With temperatures in the area hovering around 100 degrees Fahrenheit, the flames fed on extremely dry vegetation, a result of climate change bringing frequent droughts and rising heat levels to the state over the last 20 years.

As of July  27, the fire has burned dozens of homes, threatened some 1,400 structures and required evacuation orders for more than 6,000 people.

Portugal is burning early this year too.

Hot air. Next!

Human activity does not affect the weather. To think that it does is the epitome of ignorance and arrogance.

That good ole boy Islamidiotocracy Christiananality pedophilia "man is God" suicidal super ego of Christ existed before God just as Arab oil existed before humans & doesn't affect weather climate change just as the Catholic Church bartering Islam oil for Nazi Germany WW II Holocaust deaths didn't effect activity of civilization....

Considering the world-wide climate chaos how long will it be before the likes of the Brit maggot and his corporate numpties undergo their public Damascene conversions ?

They probably think that they're going to get away with it.

Haw, haw............................haw.
