"Trump commanded a mob." Chairman Thompson

A perhaps not so subtle message from the committee to the Justice Department, delivered by Bennie Thompson: “If there is no accountability for Jan. 6 — for every part of this scheme — I fear that we will not overcome the ongoing threat to our democracy. There must be stiff consequences for those responsible.”

Opening statement by Bennie Thompson, opening the hearing for tonight.

Oh, yeah, he did. He didn't call it off until he knew he'd failed to steal the election. By that time hundreds were injured or dead.

twump was, in the very least, dereliction of duty.

Trump knew. Pat Cipollone just testified he himself knew and told Trump. Who sat in the President's Dining Room watching the riot on TV.--FOX, of course

Was this episode of the Soviet Style show trial better than the other ones? One would hope that they could improve with practice but it rarely works out that way.

This thread is interesting in light of the fact that in the early days Trump was jammed for saying something to the effect "How can I tell them to stand down, they are not my people".

Btw,.....that same " mob".....They are going to put trump back in office in 24. Not a damn thing you can do about it either. ;)
