It seems your computer is having problems telling time correctly and must be set to PT which is the default for Windows. If your post was at 4:56 then my post 118 would have been at 1:30CT which would be impossible since I was not anywhere near a computer from 12 CT to 3 CT yesterday. However I was back at a computer at about 3:10 CT.

The current time as I post this is 9:25 CT

He doesn't get that wind doesn't alway blow so it has to be backed up by another form of generation that can be turned on when needed to backup the wind. I'm not opposed to wind because it isn't burning up our finite supply of fossil fuels but it has its place.

Not really. Wind is the 2nd most expensive method of producing electricity, watt for watt. As you just noted, it's unreliable as well.
Fossils are not used for fuel. Fossils don't burn.

Texas uses primarily natural gas, oil, and coal. Both natural gas and oil are renewable fuels. Coal is unknown, but it's plentiful.

I get that just fine that wind has to be backed up. Just like all electrical generation has to be backed up because any of it can fail. It's you that is complaining about wind failing so are you sure you understand that wind has to be backed up. One way to back up wind is to get electric from wind turbines where the wind is blowing. That would require being connected to a larger grid so you can do that. Something Texas failed to do. It seems you now want to argue the opposite of what you argued earlier.

Does wind need to be backed up? How do you propose to back up wind?
Texas certainly should have learned that gas power electrical generation can fail and needs to be backed up. Did they learn that? It would seem not as we see the same problem with Texas in that they didn't plan for back up. The simplest back up is to arrange to buy from someone else if what you have fails.

The very fact that wind generatio has to be backed means it’s expensive. You don’t HAVE to backup like you do with wind. Fossil fuel generation on its own is much more reliable than wind generation on its own.

The Sun is also not currently directly over the equator. It's tracking near the northern tropic line at the moment. He seems to be geometry challenged.
