"Britain is bracing this week for what could be its hottest day ever recorded, while French authorities warned of a “heat apocalypse” and emergency services across Europe confronted spreading wildfires and rising death tolls.

British authorities declared a national emergency and for the first time issued a “red extreme” heat warning for large parts of England, while France’s meteorological service placed a stretch of its Atlantic coast under the highest-possible alert level.

Heat records were toppled in several places in France and Britain on Monday. More records could fall later in the day or on Tuesday, with Britain expecting temperatures of up to 106 degrees (41 Celsius) — far above the current record of 101.7 degrees (38.7 Celsius), which was set in 2019. Temperatures in France were expected to top 104 degrees (40 Celsius)....."

The Flat Earthers are never going to admit the reality, the likes of talk radio politicized climate change decades ago, and others leaning right, although they know man made climate change is real, will never support nor argue for any measure to address the situation, which is why we are in the situation we are today
 
As far as "climate change," and by that I assume you mean anthropogenic climate change (aka Gorebal Warming) I would start with "So?" on the above.
 
It’s a front page headline news story not an anecdote. Look at the link, and there are many other sources if you’re allergic to The Washington Post.

I think you give them both more and less credit than they deserve. I'm not sure they know it's real. Seems to me the Right’s resistance to information that doesn’t fit their narrative is so baked in they can’t be nudged a centimeter.

I remember that very well, was only a wee lad but we still went to school.

Since the planet began to heat up on an annual basis around 1980 the year is not relevant. Had a record cold winter occurred in 1993 it would be relevant but not persuasive because single year hitches many year trends do not
upset the trend. All of the hottest annual global temperatures on record are from this period and the hottest sub period are temperatures in the last eight years.

This isn't my narrative. It's recorded data.
