Agreed since they all tend to be more emotional than logical. Very one-sided regardless of their actual political polarity.
My brother has a long-time friend who is super far left. He frequently goes on and on about some new outrage he saw on MSNBC which apparently is his only source of news. My brother doesn't argue with him though. He just tells me about him with amusement. Yet my brother, although not far right, gets HIS news from Fox. He'll often ask me about my opinion on some current event, giving the Fox version first. (Which is how I know where it came from.) He's as silly in his own way as his old friend. He's incredibly intelligent but seems to have lost his ability to think critically and question the stuff his preferred media is putting out.
Interesting difference. Younger people tend to be more passionate than older ones. Less educated more emotional than more educated. IQs matter but that doesn't seem to be a factor for most people who are far Left or far Right. Lower IQ, maybe, but IMO it's more about emotional stability.
