You are getting healthcare reform, Dammit!

We are getting healthcare reform... But I do not think we are getting a Public Option. The final version will be interesting.

I agree, but it will be a step in the correct direction... How big of a step remains to be seen.

Why do you say that. Don't you know our government is controlled by huge corporate fascists? Why would anything they do be in any right direction.

Don't you believe steps backward and bad legislation are possible?

I do belive that its possable, I do not belive that will happen in this case.

I'll rephrase out of respect for BAC picking up jarrod.
No one gets owned by both sides more than Jarrod.

To name one, prohibiting Insurance Companies from declining coverage due to pre-existing conditions.
You didn't read the Senate version then, there is no such prohibition. It simply provides them an opportunity (after a year) to enter into a high risk pool and get a different kind of insurance that falls into the "bronze plan"...

this right here should be dealt with first and foremost. in fact, I would imagine that you could get 99% of America behind this one single thing, if only the dems would make this the only single law about it right now.

While it is a shitty bill, it does prohibit insurance companies from denying coverage based on pre-existing conditions and also prohibits rescissions.

Issuers would be prohibited from excluding coverage for pre-existing health conditions and from rescinding health coverage.
