Yes, Archie Bunker embodies everything the modern right wing stands for. They're old, they're stupid, and their ideas are totally idiotic. In the 70s, the shit he was saying was a joke. It was a laugh line in a sitcom. Now it's a not-uncommon talking point. How the fuck did that happen?


All you have to do, see, is arm everyone in schools and you solve the problem!

And who else has heard this bullshit line about communism and banning of guns lately? Cept now they mention Hitler.

Because movement conservatism celebrates ignorance. How the eff else did Reagan, Dan Quayle, George Dumbya Bush, and Sarah Palin rise to the top of their party? And how did creation scientists and anti-evolutionists even get an effing seat at the table of that party?

As you aware I'm sure, the smart wingnuts intentionally promote an atmosphere of ignorance. Because throughout history, the plutocracy always thrives and maintains a stranglehold on power, when the citizenery at large is stupid, dumbed-down, and incapable of independent thinking.
