Thanks.
I have seen this dozens of times.
She sang it with so much joy and enthusiasm.
I served my country...I don't know if that makes me a patriot but I consider those who did to be patriots.
Thank you for your service.
And thank you for considering me to be a patriot.
They generally are.Jesus H. Christ.
American conservatives pretending they are patriots..
They don't defend or support Joe Biden.while still defending a president who was a traitor...
They don't defend or support Democrats.and defending people who engaged in insurrection.
You are describing yourself, Frank. The only real contribution American conservatives have made to this world is to make the meaning of the word "hypocrisy" more robust![/B][/SIZE]
One does not have to serve to be a patriot.
Let's honor those who did and those who did not on this special day, Frank.
You wrote, "I served my country...I don't know if that makes me a patriot but I consider those who did to be patriots."
I was merely thanking you for considering me to be a patriot, Earl. I also served.
They generally are.
They don't defend or support Joe Biden.
They don't defend or support Democrats.
You are describing yourself, Frank.
You hate America. You hate the people of this great nation. You support The Oligarchy. You discard the Constitution of the United States and the constitutions of every State.
Patriots know what people like you are, Frank. They WILL succeed. You and those you support will not.
The people of this nation became free from British rule. They did it not only to defend their homes and their communities, but to forge a new nation, the likes of which has never been seen before. A nation with no kings. No nobility. No titles. They cast off the King of England and sent his navy and regulars packing. We let England be. We did not attack England itself, but they could no longer rule here.
Since the Revolutionary war, the people of this nation united under a common banner, for the common purpose of defense against foreign invaders, lest England try again, or any other nation try to claim the land. England tried again in 1812. They were AGAIN sent home packing in disgrace.
The people of this nation later ENDED slavery, the first nation in the world to do so. They even went to save England's butt in WW2. Americans put themselves on the line and in harms way to put down dictators and oppression the the people YOU support. Americans fought communism, freed other nations from the tyranny of dictators and oligarchs like those YOU support. We didn't go there to conquer. We went there to liberate.
Americans fought against the Japanese empire as well, despite being outnumbered in ships 4-1 when that theater opened with the raid on Pearl Harbor. Americans. They ran the factories. They built the ships. The planes. The bombs. The guns. The ammunition. It was Americans that had the pure grit and determination to win that war at any cost. We developed the nuclear bomb. We used it to END the war, not to start it. It was Americans that showed the Japanese a better way, and they've embraced it ever since, much to their own success. We did not go there to conquer and claim Japan as part of America. We went there to put down an emperor and liberate a people. People in the South Seas. People on islands scattered across Pacific. People in Europe.
Americans. We went there to liberate them, not to conquer them. We ENDED slavery here, to liberate...not to conquer and control.
But among us are planted seeds of hate. Ever since that party was formed, they have sought to re-establish slavery, to conquer and control, to take away liberty and freedom, to attack the family, to ruin our children, to replace education with indoctrination, to tear down law and order, to erase the Constitution, to subvert the very reason the Declaration of Independence was written, to continue the ugly face of racism and division and bigotry, to abolish the very things that make America the greatest and most unique nation that has ever existed on this Earth. It is sedition from within. The true domestic enemy. The Democrats. Those YOU support.
Independence Day is a celebration of that marvelous history, not just the Revolutionary War, but the very spirit of America that makes us truly the greatest nation ever seen, and the most unique nation ever seen. It is a celebration of the good people of America. Those that will stand up for her. Those that honor her. NOT those who tear down, burn, loot, and pillage cities and do everything they can to dismantle law and order. NOT those who despise the Constitution. NOT those who despise the flag. NOT those who despise those willing to stand up for America and all it means. NOT those YOU support, Frank.
It is for those who run the farms, the factories, who built the cities, who build an entire nation out of the wilderness. It is for those who fought off tyrants around the world. It is for those who embrace liberty and the rule of law, not of men.
It is for every patriot that upholds the American dream. A free nation, for all, a nation brought out of darkness through blood, sweat, and tears. A nation created by the People, and it WILL continue to be defended by the People against ALL enemies, whether they exist in other lands or in our own land.
A nation that celebrates the unique and great character that it has with guns, with fireworks, with the joy of what we are as a nation, with all that we've been through, with that unique American grit and patriotism. It is like nowhere else. It is like no other people. We are we. WE ARE THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
Here is what George Washington actually said, Lionfish.
"A free people ought not only to be armed, but disciplined; to which end a uniform and well-digested plan is requisite; and their safety and interest require that they should promote such manufactories as tend to render them independent of others for essential, particularly military, supplies."
It is from his first speech to Congress...what became the first State of the Union speech.
No point in explaining to leftie moonbats. Let the Supreme court do it for you.
I served my country...I don't know if that makes me a patriot but I consider those who did to be patriots.
You posted a thing saying that George Washington said one thing...and I posted what he actually said, which differs very much from what your posting said.
Don't be in a snit just because I showed you fucked up.
