Every four years, pundits proclaim that "this is the most important election of our lifetimes." In 2016, we now know, it was actually true.

The election of Donald Trump to the presidency was an asteroid strike that profoundly altered America's political and cultural landscape.

Six years ago, Trump offered a devil's bargain to evangelical Christians: If they gave a thrice-married, biblically illiterate New York City libertine their vote, he'd deliver Supreme Court justices who'd overturn Roe and promote a conservative Christian agenda.

Trump delivered, with help from Mitch McConnell and Democrats who stayed home in 2016 or voted for Jill Stein because of their distaste for Hillary Clinton. Trump appointed three Federalist Society-minted justices who, last week, gleefully erased Roe — triggering a war between the states over abortion whose consequences we can only dimly glimpse.

I wish the steady, sustainable economic growth, waged far outpacing almost non-existent inflation, and extra $6500 annual wealth in the hands of the average American family, peace in the Middle East, no new wars ,our two-faced European "allies" forced to pay their share of NATO , our enemies cowed, the Chinese beaten down to the Phase One trade deal, and all the other great things Trump's policies did for us ( before the Red Cinese and DNC got together to attack the US to defeat Trump) had lasted for decades.

It's so true. The Republican party managed to get just enough power to destroy the lives of millions of Americans, which has always been its most important priority after keeping old, rich, white men in firm hold of the privilege they never earned.

Fortunately, I think that human progress is a two steps forward and one step backward process. We'll get through the lunacy of the cult. They're dying off anyway. I just didn't think that the back step would happen now.

Biden has, and it's all been a total disaster. The economy tanked and is in shambles. Gas prices shot through the roof. There are shortages and bottlenecks of goods and supplies with everything. The stock markets have lost about 20% of their value. Biden's push for shit Green has driven up costs even more and contributed to those shortages. Biden's foreign policies are a total trainwreck. The border is wide open and national security is threatened as his administration is now letting terrorists in too.

There's virtually nothing politically or economically that Biden hasn't fucked up in his short time in office. And, it isn't going to get better.

Trump was a fucking genius and stellar success compared to Biden. Hell, Carter did better. Biden is singularly now the worst President in American history since at least Buchanan (who let the Civil War happen). Let's hope Joke doesn't let a second one start just so he can prove he's really the worst President in American history.
