Yesterday the bodies of 51 Mexican immigrants were found in the back of a 18 -wheeler truck just outside San Antonio, Texas.


The 51 dead immigrants (including 4 children) had perished after having being locked in the vehicle's trailer with no water, no air-conditioning or ventilation, and temperatures outside of 103 degree.


16 immigrants were found alive in the back of it semi-trailer when the tragic discovery was made. They were suffering severe heat stroke and exhaustion and are now being treated in hospital.


These immigrants were being smuggled in to the US interior, and three men have been arrested in association with the tragedy.
