Texas Senator John Cornyn says "Now do Plessy vs Ferguson/Brown vs Board of Education

Yes, he is. Meanwhile, millions of alt-RW Americans HATE SSM and interracial marriage and think that it is abomination. Now that they've gotten one desire out of the way, think they'll stop there?

And while he took pains to avoid that particular subject, he would throw that question back to the states. And he would be fine since he lives in DC. But I'm sure he would deny interracial marriage to other blacks without blinking an eye.

Not quite what Cronyn was saying, rather, he was that using Brown decision as an example of how overturning a precedent can be a positive thing

What Cronyn missed was that unlike Roe, Plessy vs Ferguson was never reconfirmed multiple times as established precedent, which coincidentally was Kavanagh’s answer during his hearing why he felt Roe would not be overturned

Wow! In this time of extreme passion I'm shocked to see you acknowledge this. (It's one thing to think it but another to say it.) A tip of the cap.

I don't think same sex marriage will be rolled back but I was speaking about Loving. I don't even think its possible to enforce something like that today even if you wanted to. Multiple races are far too intertwined and mixed.

I do agree with that, and that such a ban shouldn't even be considered. I'm just repeating what the frantic LW sources are freaking out about (for fund-raising). And I agree with them to a point. Our civil rights should not be rolled back, so stay vigilant.

If it curried favor and money from the RW evangelicals and/or bigots, you betcha he would.

I'd love to see a cage match between him and my daughter-in-law. She is a proud and intelligent black woman with a masters degree and a serious sense of worth.
