And did so in direct contrast to over 150 years of each party being allowed to appoint its own members to committees. Why'd she do that? Because she knew that the ones she rejected that the Republicans wanted would make the possibility of a show trial and predetermined outcome impossible. So she abused her power as Speaker and chose the Republicans she wanted instead.

She rejected the clown so that the hearings would not become a circus. Anyone who has watched them knows that this is one of the most classy presentations ever...the political theater is not there.

In any case, Pelosi appointed the two Republicans who are on the committee...and McCarthy appointed...

...NONE.

Your problem is not Pelosi. Your problem is that you still have your nose up Trump's ass.

A circus / show trial is exactly what she got. Instead of any sort of opposition, questioning of the evidence, or adversarial arguments, it has been one lock-step march towards what amounts to a third impeachment of Trump. That's the very definition of a show trial.

The two Republicans that Pelosi appointed were the most reliable and certain to fall in lockstep with the Democrats on another Trump impeachment, that's why she chose them. The two she rejected, she knew were going to oppose that happening and would have flummoxed the committee because the Democrats on it are far too stupid and myopic to be able to make even a weak case for getting Trump in the face of opposition.
