Cops have no constitutional duty to protect you

Why would the police and their city bosses want to keep this secret?

Because he was connected to them somehow.

The report indicates that he had friends in law enforcement that he would hang out with.

He was probably one of those "honorary cop" type people who suck up to the pigs and lick their boots, like how you're doing it here.

If Paddock had been Muslim, not only would we have known the motive, but we would have invaded a country because of it.

No doubt I'd be completely embarrassed and forever humbled should you ever decide to reveal your riches and successes.

Well again, it's none of your fucking business and it would just make you even more upset.

You have no path to a win if you want to play that game...I'm doing you a favor by just letting you know now.

So take the favor, say thank you, and move on to another topic.

Meanwhile, back on planet Earth, I can talk about going places or other plans without giving away "personal info". IMO, your conspiracy theories are adversely affecting your mental state.

You mean you can invent and shit forth anecdote after anecdote from that big, fat mouth of yours and still not make a coherent point.

And it's not like you'd even verify the anecdotes because you wouldn't reveal any kind of information that can be traced back to your identity.

So why do you do it? Simple; you can't win a debate against me, so you have to get personal and try to find things out about me that can be used to discredit me and the argument you lost.

Tell me I'm wrong...I don't think I am.

Most "mass shooters" are gang-bangers. We're discussing the school/theater/concert mass shooters. You throw out cities, but no names or dates. What are you hiding? LOL

Why are you so bent on concluding that Stephen Paddock was sane?

Who says he even actually did that? I've seen vids with muzzle flashes from a helicopter.

Until I see analysis of all the bullets found, I ain't believing a damn thing.

Any idea what oath the Uvalde police take upon entering service?

I don't care.

I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the duties of Police Officer for the State of Texas and the City of Round Rock and will to the best of my ability preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States and of this State and of this city so help me God.

What is this supposed to prove?

He's dead. Who should they ask to solve that riddle?

So investigators don't know how to investigate?

Hard to believe that with hundreds of investigators and nearly unlimited resources, the cops couldn't determine why this guy committed the worst mass shooting in US history.

That is just too ridiculous to believe.

Don't forget the cowardly Parkland cop, who failed to confront the school shooter?!! He was thinking about that $100,000 a year pension?!! He has been charged for this act of cowardice too?!!

Parkland: former police deputy arrested over failure to confront school shooter

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...orida-school-shooting-failure-confront-gunman

Like my aunt said: That boy should have been in Chattahoochee! She was good for calling it exactly like it was.

26x times the cops were called on him? Sheriff Scott Israel there was implementing Obama programs, though.

If they were called 3x on me; My ass would be in jail or worse.

Scott Israel was removed from office, btw..

Seriously, that was a failure of government to protect on all 3 levels. Local, State, and Federal.

So then why not just kill yourself? Why kill 58 people and wound 900 more?

"To die" isn't a motive.

Greed is a motive.

Jealousy is a motive.

Hatred is a motive.

"To die" is not a motive, and certainly not one that explains mass murder.

Most, I suspect, are in mental anguish and only seek end their pain.

Right, but we are talking about mass shooters, and most people in mental anguish don't go take a gun and shoot up a public place.

We aren't even 100% sure that the mass shooters we arrested have any kind of mental illness...the guy who shot up the spas here in Atlanta had no mental illness.

Mental illness is a convenient scapegoat, particularly when you also oppose Medicare for All and health care expansion.

Robin Williams did it with a tie and a door knob but Stephen Paddock decided to go out with a bang. Literally. Crazy, eh?

Who says Stephen Paddock didn't think he'd be able to walk right out the front door of the hotel?

You don't have any clue into his mental state at that time and neither do I, so why is your default that he was mentally ill when he committed the shooting?

Maybe he wasn't!

Maybe he actually believed that he'd be able to stroll out the front door of the hotel after shooting 900 people because his friends are cops. That's just as likely as him having a mental illness episode.

To kill people

But why?

He was fucking nuts and knew he was going to die so he probably thought "Why not?"

How do you know that?

How do you know he didn't expect to be able to walk right out the front door of the hotel?

Why is that not something you consider? Because suicidal/mental illness is an easier answer that requires no critical thinking.

Fact is there was no indication that this guy was nuts before he shot up the place unless you take massive ammo and weapons purchases as indicative of a mental illness or an imminent mental episode.

So would you consider bulk ammo and weapons purchases a red flag of mental illness and imminent danger?

No one knows his motive.

Maybe. Or, they do know his motive but don't want to make it public because it somehow implicates law enforcement.

But the point is that you can't say an investigation was done if that investigation can't answer the sole key question of why?

OK, all four of those threads were started before I joined JPP.

Secondly, none of those threads have any posts of mine calling you a cop hater.

*I* am a cop hater.
that was just 4 out of the two dozen I alone started. there are dozens more out there where I participated

did you ever ONCE state on here that you prefer cops over armed civilians?

What motive could it have been if he was sane? If he was insane, he doesn't need a motive.

Prior to the shooting, in the report you gave me, there was no prior indication that Paddock was mentally ill in any way UNLESS you count mass bulk purchases of ammo and guns as an indicator of poor mental health.

But if you did count that, you'd be saying that you think gun ownership is a mental illness...and if you believe that, then I think we might have just found something you and I agree on 100%.

First of all, blaming mental illness for mass shootings is bullshit.

In the case of Paddock, he had no mental illness diagnosis or anything like that.

It's not mental illness that is causing mass shootings, it's the fucking guns and police complicity.

So if someone with mental illness takes a car and plows people down killing 20...its not because of mental illness, Its the fucking car

He was insane.

There was nothing in the report you gave me that indicated he was mentally ill at all.

Nothing.

So you're making an assumption that he was insane...but again, that still doesn't explain why he did it.

Even insane people have insane reasons for doing what they do, and no one has been able to tell us what his reasons were. I contend that is because his reasons implicate law enforcement in a way that is embarrassing or scandalous. It is inconceivable that after 5 years, we still don't have a motive.

That says to me that the police either gave up because they're not good at their jobs, or they found the motive out pretty quickly but tried to pivot to mental illness because "he got encouragement from his cop pals" would be not great to have in an official report.

I'd win the bet and you know it, LV. LOL

LMAO! Well, if the Uvalde report is going to be anything like the Vegas report, we will get a lot of details on the graphic nature of (some of) the victims, but we won't get any honest answers as to why the cops let him run amok in the school for an hour.
