Texas would lose federal border security and what would keep Mexico from invading and taking its resources?

I have strong doubts about Expresslane's mental stability.
It's not just a massive loss of Federal funds including all of the US military bases in Texas, but the business loss as a result of those military bases and government-linked corporations leaving the state.
Military bases provide a large economic boost for every city by virtue of providing contract civilian jobs and the spending habits of all military and civilian personnel.
To even suggest the idea is to prove oneself a fucking moron who doesn't understand the consequences. It's purely political red meat without a shred of economic common sense.
