Given the state of the country at the moment, with the economy tanking, inflation out-of-control, gas prices through the rafters, Russia, China, and others all dictating to Joke like he's a powerless fuckwit, while Joke and the Democrats do nothing about any of that and more, I'd say that trying what amounts to a third impeachment attempt on Trump is about the stupidest thing they could possibly be doing.
The midterms are five months away and coming fast. Outside the Left and Progressives people don't give a shit about Trump. They give a shit about having to pay $10 for a pound of hamburger and $5 or more for a gallon of gas. If they live in the Southwest US they want the border secured and the masses of illegals crossing stopped and deported. They want Joke working on their issues, not Ukraine's.
Above all, they don't want the fucktards in Dirty City focused on getting Trump for some political advantage. That's why Liz Cheney is 30 points down on her opponent in the primaries in Wyoming as but one example. People don't give a shit about Trump. Trump isn't President, Biden is. Trump isn't calling the shots on the economy, Biden is.
The Democrats are wasting their political capital and time trying to get Trump rather than trying to effectively and efficiently run the nation and they're going to get absolutely stomped in the ground come November for that choice.
In fact, I'd say if they do manage to get Trump on something, anything, it'll be even worse for them as they will have enraged the entire Conservative and Right side of the political spectrum that already sees the whole Jan 6 thing as a witch hunt. I suspect though, that the Left, as usual, will be completely oblivious to their opponent's position and feelings on this and do it anyway only to wonder what the fuck happened afterwards.
