Damn. So they planned to kill Pence if they found him. And then what? Did Trump seriously believe murdering Pence would get him his second term because of course he did? The man is like the worst villain ever. He simply cannot think his evil plots through to an intelligent functional end. He gets a hair in his ass and runs with it despite everybody telling him it's just a hair in his ass and not some grand plot to be dictator that will definitely work out in his favor. This is even more insane than the insanity we were already aware of.

I gotta say that this is turning out to be the most thoroughly documented crime in history and it was documented by the actual criminals. They emailed, texted, tweeted and video recorded themselves plotting to over throw a free and fair election and the resulting ramifications on Jan 6. Insane but aren't we lucky they are so freaking incompetent.

It is clear now that Mike Pence was in immediate danger, His Secret Service team wanted to get him out of the Capitol, and that he was determined to stay and fulfill his constitutional duty to get the election certified.
It is also clear that Donald Trump engaged in a relentless effort and multi-pronged campaign to get Mike Pence to break the law, illegally hand the election to the loser, Donald Trump, and that Mike Pence refused from the beginning.
We are lucky the Secret Service did their job, Mike Pence was not murdered by the crowd, and that Mike Pence did his job.
We almost lost our Democracy.

A stall tactic. Might now have been sure of the next move, but with Pence out of the way - no certification of the votes and transfer of power delayed.
My sense is the twump/Rudy/Eastman team would continue, with the help of elected GOP reps to obtain alternate groups of electors from EACH state in order to fake a unanimous victory. Kind of like elections in Russia where opponents are poisoned and somehow Putin keeps getting 95% of the vote.

Lisa DeJardins of PBS Newshour said there was talk in Congress of criminal charges for Trump. They are saying these hearings are not so much a presentation for the American public as they are building a criminal case for the DOJ to consider.
Interesting when Pence's guy was encouraging him to get in the car so they could get the hell out of dodge Pence refused. His guy says, don't you trust me and Pence says yes, but I don't know who that driver is.
Damn. Pence is no hero because he has bowed to Trump's bullshit from the beginning until now, even after his life was threatened...and boy did he know something was up that night.
Oh, yeah. The hearing got the DOJ's attention today. The DOJ has demanded witness lists and documents from the J6. Looks like the DOJ might be looking at arresting the fat, orange one.

No. Pence does not deserve kudos for just doing his job. He still continued to kiss up to trump even after twump tried to kill him. Pence is just a spineless worm.
