There are possible negative ramifications involved.

It may very well be better to just expose him and his enablers for what they are and leave it to the voters and the public.

That could provide a better result in the long run.

Otherwise, Trump could come across looking like the victim here and garnering sympathy from the very people we're hoping to sour on him.

Because they know that they've tainted the evidence and what they have is thin when put to cross-examination. So, their solution to that is to put on a show trial to keep their base enraged at Trump while hoping to change at least some minds about Trump. The whole point of the Jan 6 committee is simply about politics and damaging Trump, and nothing else.

Well, here's the biggest problem. twumps supporters don't care who's right. They just look at twump as their Nazi demon messiah.

Trying to arrest and jail twump would be a mess:

DeSantis would use it as one of his sick political opportunities and make FL a sanctuary state for twump and any Nazi followers.

Even if we're able to put twump in chains and jail him - his mindless supporters with guns would start a Civil war.

There is no "tainted evidence". Everyone's testimony is real. If you have any real evidence the "evidence was tainted" lets see it.
