The case was dismissed because it was bullshit from the get-go. Plaintiff had no valid claim.

Jill Harth filed a lawsuit against trump in 1997, long before he announced he would run. trump paid Harth an undisclosed out of court settlement for sexually assaulting her, and stalking her.

There were numerous other similar examples. trump has had a 60 year history of this stuff. It came to a head with his running for office, but there were constant court cases, and settlements before that.
