It can be called anything anyone wants to say, but untrue words are meaningless. This is what it is.
This is an official US federal government proceeding under the United States House of Representatives.
Basically, DT supporters don't even want this story told. They seek to belittle entire Select Committee. They would rather pretend January 6th never happened, or that antifa did it, or it was just 'expressing legitimate objections,' or that it was "a tourist visit." Forget the day ever existed!
DT supporters refuse to accept the results of the 2020 election for one reason and one reason only: Trump lost. If he won, they would accept it. But he lost, so they refuse to accept it. It is as simple as that.
January 6th was just the most violent form of DT's illegal attempt to remain in power even after he lost the election. He also tried to use the Justice Department, he tried to get States to change their results, and he tried to get VP Pence to illegally refuse to certify the election.
DT was told by knowledgeable officials that he lost the election. He illegally used the powers of his office to try to prevent the peaceful transfer of power. DT tried to make elections meaningless. He lied when he claimed he won. He lied when he claimed it was 'a landslide,' and he lied when he claimed 'everybody knows it.' No. That is wrong. Everybody does not know it. Nobody knows it, because it isn't true.

I never thought they would be so afraid of people switching channels and getting interested in facts.
Tucker's job last night was to keep them so distracted they wouldn't get curious and try ANY other network. Because of course, you know, every other network was carrying the most historic hearings since Watergate.

It might have been a decision heavily recommended by Fox legal counsel. Fox is, after all, heavily involved, both into the inciting of the fever to 1/6 and the bullshit revisionist history about it afterwards.
They don't want their viewers to know Fox might be involved somehow.
I think it was more of an effort to hide form Fox's viewers that Fox is being investigated as well. Most of their viewers watch Tucker.. so Fox took the "shotgun" approach and just broadcast 1 hour straight while they felt the most damaging part of the 1/6 presentation was happening.

Secondly, they are being 'prepared' by Fox to discount the proceedings so if they do hear actual news, they won't believe it.
DT supporters operate on gossip and rumor spread by social media and peer pressure. They do not understand that Tucker Carlson cannot be relied on to present facts (as his own lawyers argued in court.) They like to forget that Tucker Carlson is an entertainer, not a news anchor.

They were obviously trying to conceal something.. that's a lot of money to give away.. plus I don't think Tucker likes to go live.. he prefers to edit interviews so context is lost, especially if he's debating someone.. Fox doesn't like to see Tucker lose.
