WASHINGTON, June 10 (Reuters) - A congressional panel investigating last year's assault on the U.S. Capitol by Donald Trump's supporters presented evidence at its prime-time hearing that the former president posed a danger both to American democracy and his vice president, Mike Pence.

Representative Liz Cheney, the Republican vice chair of the House of Representatives select committee probing the Jan. 6, 2021, attack, told the hearing on Thursday that Trump spoke approvingly of the mob's chants to "hang Mike Pence."

Didn't think I would ever see the day a president would hope for his vice president to be hung by a violent mob.

And it was senseless if Nancy and Chuck had not ignored and rejected the 20,000 National Guard troops that Trump offered it would have never happened even the Chief of Capitol police begged for help but Nancy knew better and said no. Trump tried to stop it but the Dems let it happen.

I think there were a lot of Americans, only distantly aware of what 1/6 was.. pretty damn shocked this morning.. That was an intense presentation.

Trump sat for 3 hours while the Capitol was being vandalized and cops heads being crushed. Cops you pretend to care about - but no in this case.. in this case the BRAVE cops.. not like the evil racist coward cops in Uvalde.. thise Capitol cops engaged your evil Nazi buddies for hours.

Trump could have stopped it right away. Everyone including Sean Hannity, Laura Ingrham, Brian Kilmede, and his evil spawn, Don. Jr. were begging to get on TV to stop it.

But like your Uvalde cops.. he sat there and watched people being crushed.
