I believe that they are willing to continue saying what got them appointed to the committee and stopped other appointees from being "accepted". Whether you believe that makes them "puppets" is up to you. I also know that folks appointed that would not tow that line on this subject were rejected and removed from the committee because it has never been an attempt to find truth, if you had a different opinion you were not welcome into Pelosi's propaganda committee.

Now Pelosi is holding back a bill passed unanimously by the Senate which gives further protection to Supreme Court Justices.

Whoever said that they were? That's a you thing.

This legislation was put on hold by Pelosi long before Uvalde happened. The reality: Pelosi doesn't want to hear it because she thinks that threats to Justices are currently on her side of policy. Also, the proposed legislation simply doesn't take guns away from folks that Pelosi doesn't like.

Yet there has been a law passed to provide them more protection being ignored by Pelosi because she believes that it will aid her political agenda. Pretending that this had anything to do with Uvalde is preposterous the threat to these folks increased long before Uvalde. Pelosi ignores the legislation because she believes that it can help her political agenda, not for any other reason. You support it for the same reason.

I don't believe Cheney is anyone's puppet. I believe she strongly abides by her oath even if it costs her job. Trumpians like Cruz, Jordan and others are not as honorable. Anyone who supported the plot should be held accountable for it.

I disagree.

It is hardly partisan since it includes members from both parties.

And it has nothing to do with the 2022 election. It is about Trump's refusal to accept the results of the 2020 election, the lengths he went to to try to illegally remain in power despite losing, and the insurrection he caused with The Big Lie.

It is remarkable how close we came to losing our democracy on January 6th.

This nation would be foolish not to study what happened in great detail to do our best to ensure that it never happens again.

1-6 tested our Constitution. We passed, but only with luck. We need to be better prepared for such domestic enemies in the future. Domestic enemies are a real threat to our nation right now.

It is a bipartisan Committee. The Committee is not acting as a political agent. The Committee is doing it's duty to protect and serve the US Constitution.

Look at the history of this Committee, right after the attack both McCarthy and McConnell called for an investigation into the events of the day. Trump lost. He royally screwed up the pandemic response, that caused inflation to be far worse than it ever needed to be, and now the economic pain caused by Trump is real. Voters held Trump responsible for his poor pandemic response.

And Trump could find himself in deeper legal trouble than his BS can dig him out of.
