Once again our resident sheet wearer finds a fool the color he needs to push his BS, and that legitimizes it.
This blathering asshole makes critical mistakes (or promotes 2 gunner lobby flunky lies):
1) Gun control laws are NOT confiscation laws.....hasn't been for last 40 years. Weapons purchased BEFORE the 1994 AWB went into effect were legal and could not be touched. A matter of fact, a matter of history. So all the blathering about the 2nd Amendment rights is just LaPierre inspired rhetoric.
2) Even when the 1994 AWB was in effect, there were a plethora of shotguns, revolvers (.38 to .44 caliber and such), semi-auto handguns and rifles, bolt action hunting rifles available to the law abiding citizen. If you could NOT defend your home with any of these, then you're just a lousy shot or in dire need of decent basic training.
3) Even homes who have guns have been successfully burglarized, sometimes with resident wounding or fatalities. Any cop from a large urban/suburban city will tell you that. So having one or not isn't the bottom line determiner of safety.
4) Both Joy Behar and the woman she's debating with are wrong. Black folk can and have been able to buy any of the weapons I alluded to in #2....have been for years. The tale the other woman tells falls prey to what I said in #2 ... why didn't this buy just go out and buy a shotgun or any number of hand guns or rifles? Why "build" an AR-15? And how did anyone know he built an illegal weapon unless he told someone....and why that particular weapon.
Yes, my grand-parents & even parents generation had a legitimate fear of the gov't (state or federal) passing some type of laws that would prevent them from owning gus for protection ( or for any reason, like duck hunting)....not unusual for black folk that lived through Jim Crow America to feel that way. But parroting the flawed and dishonest LaPierre just doesn't cut it.

1) Show the EXACT stats that support what you say from the DOJ or FBI or some official gov't agency.
