“Despite the narrative that Republicans have been marching in lockstep with President Trump and willing to say anything to further his agenda, there have been federal judges who were appointed by Trump, as well as state and local Republican officials, who, when faced with their duty and the reality in front of them, have done the right thing,” Renato Mariotti, a former federal prosecutor in Chicago and legal analyst, told Yahoo News.
In Pennsylvania, the responses have been particularly scathing. A recent opinion authored by Stephanos Bibas, a Trump-appointed judge in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and an apparent member of the Federalist Society, a conservative judicial organization, sharply criticized the campaign’s bid to prevent Pennsylvania officials from certifying the election results, which has since occurred in the state.
Bibas, in his opinion rendered Nov. 27, seemed to pinpoint the central flaw of the Trump campaign’s overall crusade, noting that its attorneys are making multiple conclusory allegations, such as the accusation that county boards conspired to exclude Republican poll watchers from the ballot-counting process, but aren’t presenting sufficient facts to back up those claims.
He also pointed out that Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s personal lawyer, said during an oral argument that the campaign isn’t alleging fraud.
“Charges of unfairness are serious,” Bibas said. “But calling an election unfair does not make it so. Charges require specific allegations and then proof. We have neither here.”

Disagreed on 2024. Like 2016, it will likely be a Free-for-All election and most Americans dislike and distrust both parties. The Obvious: It will depend upon who the Democrats run as well as who the Republicans select for We, the People to vote upon. Let's not forget that the Independents are independent for a reason: they dislike both parties.
I'm an Independent like 40% of all active American voters. I lean "right" when "right" meant "conservative attitudes preserving freedom and our Constitution". Now the closest party that fits me is the Libertarian Party. Despite the number of wackadoodles running on the LP ticket, the Party platform conforms closest to what I always considered a "conservative" ideology.:
When a man's home was his castle and what consenting adults did in private was their business alone. The federal government's place was to protect the nation from attack, make trade treaties outside the nation and support and defend the Constitution. The States should be semi-autonomous; left on their own provided they abide by the Constitution, the laws passed by Congress & signed by the President and Supreme Court judgments.
Americans can change the laws through their representatives....of which I'm voting Libertarian from now on until either the Democrats or the Republicans pull their collective heads out of their asses and stop restricting rights instead of finding better ways to free Americas.
The 1789 Constitution freed a nation...as long as you were a white male, then it was a bit tougher. Still, it was a starting point. We, the People advanced freedom from there by freeing slaves and giving men of color the right to vote. Then all women could vote. Then 18 year olds could vote*.
Since then we've gone backwards with our top two political parties seeking to restrict rights. Encumber the American public for their own good, for the children, for the rich and powerful, etc. I disagree with them and seek a return to advancing rights, not restricting them. IMO, everyone should start voting Libertarian regardless of who is running. Break the major political parties down until they fix their rectal-cranial issues.
Let's not forget that when electing an official that we are electing the party that put them into power.** The Party agenda and actions will be mimicked by the nominee if elected.

**Example: the Trump 2018 Mid-Terms: anyone who didn't abide by Trump was gone because they were cut out of everything including funding. Money is everything in this country. To survive an official needs his party's backing and, therefore, s/he will do what the Party wants.
I see divisions in the Republican Party and the Democrat party. The conservative Democrats and Never-Trumpers are almost a party all by itself, they just can't figure out why they hate each other yet! But they want some kind of sensible gun laws and they believe in a Women's right to choose.
They may find a way to actually work together in 2024 and run someone who will attract people from both sides. Yes that's right an official Republicrat! THE Time is now!
As for the Progressives, if they choose to continue to run as Democrats- They will never win a primary! How many times have they tried now?- And Bernie is too long in the tooth now.
I believe that the 2024 election will be a total rejection of TRUMTARDISM- and they will fade into history like the TEE TEE PARTY!

When a group of people is filled with extremists (people unwilling to compromise with opposing members of Congress) then that intolerance tends to work within the party too. The Republicans are far ahead of the Democrats on this* but the Democrats in following the same road of intolerance.
Depending upon who gets convicted on charges regarding the 1/6 coup attempt, Trumptardism may die a year earlier. A conviction in Georgia won't help matters.
