What is most interesting to me is how many Republicans mouth the words but are clearly sidestepping away from Trump and the Cult. Since I strongly doubt this is because they have grown a spine, my guess is they have inside information on what is going to be the aftermath of the 1/6 Committee findings. They are like ancient elite people attending a beheading but trying to not get any blood on their golden finery. They want the votes but are clearly not going to be caught up in Trump's mess.

Back during the primary, Gabbard made a big splash on social media thanks to an army of Russian bots. When Hillary Clinton implicitly called her out, the corporate media absolutely lost its shit, using it as a chance to pounce all over Clinton. But, with time, Gabbard's game has become clear even to them. She played at being a Democrat because that's what was needed to win office in a liberal state like Hawaii, but as soon as her political career ended, she became a standard-issue right-wing media troll, complete with the usual assured seat on Fox News and featured appearances at CPAC and various conservative summits. I hope the liberals who bought the hype back during the primary, and who assumed she was a liberal merely because Putin had tasked her with attacking Democrats from a nominally anti-war perspective, have learned their lesson. I doubt it, though. I expect they'll fall for the same schtick all over again, with some other sock puppet.
