Schiff: DoJ decision not to indict Meadows and Scavino a ‘grave disappointment'

California congressman Adam Schiff – a member of the select House committee investigating the deadly Capitol riots – said Sunday it was “a grave disappointment” that federal prosecutors opted against charging two former Trump White House officials who ignored subpoenas seeking information on the January 6 attack.

Schiff said on CBS’s Face the Nation that he couldn’t see why the federal justice department would treat Donald Trump’s former chief of staff Mark Meadows and communications coordinator Dan Scavino differently than it did ex-aides Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon.

Schiff said he couldn’t confirm who might testify at the scheduled hearings but – as the committee’s attorneys have previously done in court filings – he promised evidence demonstrating an “understanding of the propensity for violence that day” in advance.

“Our goal is to present the narrative of … how close we came to losing our democracy with this violent attack on the 6th,” Schiff said.
 
This country is beyond repair.
You don't even get prosecuted for contempt of congress.
But you may for performing an abortion, the moral equivalent of giving a haircut.

Scrap the whole fucking thing and start over. It's a complete shithole now.
Force all the mutants into the interior and leave the two coasts for sophisticated humans.
Florida and South Carolina especially will need some serious purging, I'm afraid.

Did SCHIFF FOR BRAINS manage to produce the " undeniable Trump-Russia collusuion evidence" he has claimed to have for 5+ years...or is that just ANOTHER LIE TO CONGRESS AND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HE'LL GET AWAY WITH?

Trump had called on the mob that gathered in Washington DC on 6 January 2021 – the day of the race outcome’s congressional certification – to “fight like hell”, insisting falsely that he had lost because of electoral fraud.

The two Republican House members on the select committee investigating the Capitol attack have been censured by the party’s national leadership, whose position is that January 6 was “legitimate political discourse” not deserving of criminal prosecution.

According to the Oxford dictionary this is one definition of fight. :campaign determinedly for or against something, especially to put right what one considers unfair or unjust.

Trump told them to "protest peacefully" but the POS guardian omitted to tell you that.
